I’m Elizabeth, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself and my 6-year-old son. We are both autistic, and right now we are facing a crisis that I never imagined would happen so fast. The person who had been providing for us left, and I am currently unable to work because of medical conditions that came on quickly. I have a Social Security benefits hearing in December, but between now and then I do not know how I will pay rent for the next three months. I have been calling everywhere I can for assistance, trying to find help and hold things together. I have worked incredibly hard to stay sober for the last 9 years, and I am doing everything I can to protect the life and stability I have built for my son and me.

 This home is my son’s safe place and the only home he knows. Losing it would be devastating for both of us. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover our rent until my hearing in December so we can stay in our home and avoid becoming homeless while we wait for answers. <strong>Asking for help</strong> is not easy for me, but this has been a very rough time. I am scared, and my anxiety doesn’t stop. There is no big village behind us, so any support, no matter the size, would mean so much to us.
