Help Eliza Survive Metastatic Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Last summer, my sister, Eliza, was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer with METS to her lungs and bones. After struggling to breathe for months and not knowing why, she was put on supplemental oxygen and finally received a diagnosis no one wanted to believe. She tried three different chemo regimens, with one nearly killing her and causing her to be hospitalized and another that allowed the cancer to spread like wildfire within her body. Since then, she has been put on therapy protocol that has made her breathing and ability to move easier but the battle still rages. From a medical perspective, Eliza is incurable and prognosis is grim. The average time left is 22 months and we don’t know how far into that 22 months we already are. I want to make sure that my sister, her husband, Wade, and their 4 beautiful children are able to enjoy every minute of time they have together. As you can imagine, the expenses are out of control and they need our help! Eliza wants to fight cancer with all her strength. This is where you come in! Please donate so Eliza can focus on living every minute with her beautiful family and not worry about the costs associated with this awful disease, such as the elevated cost of electricity because her oxygen machine has to be running 24/7.

**The story behind the cover photo.  When my sister was first diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer one of her good friends offered to do a family photo shoot before she lost her hair. What you can't see in this photo is that Eliza was extremely sick. The thing about her though, is that she thinks of others before herself and is very good at putting on a smile for everyone else. The morning this photo was taken, another precious friend went to her home to get her and the kids ready because Eliza didn't even have the energy to hold her arms up long enough to fix her hair. She was on full time, high dose, oxygen and took it off in between photos. She treasures these photos- but despite the smile that she has on her face, she was struggling to breathe, feeling air hunger with every breath. This picture speaks to one of the sweetest ways my sister serves others- she smiles and is always optimistic even when facing terminal illness, she can't help but lift others up, even when she is down herself.  That's my sister Eliza, the mom, the wife, the sister, the daughter, the beautiful child of God. And we could use your help. Please don't donate if it creates a hardship for you, that's not anything Eliza would want. But if you can't donate, at least share this link.
