<div>English: <br />Hello, my name is Elisa Andrade and I am in great need of a liver transplant. I would greatly appreciate if you can share this donation page with your fellow family or friends or make a donation yourself. I’ve been living here in Little Village for 17 years. I am 54 years old and ever since I got to the  U.S. I have been diagnosed with so many health problems. I came here to work and until very recently, I have been working 2 different jobs and with crazy hours to be able to provide for myself and my family. I can longer work under these conditions, pulling 10hr-12hr shifts at different jobs due to my deteriorating health. I am now struggling even more with my health… It started with arthritis and I had a lot of pain in my feet due to this condition and the doctor would have to prescribe me medication to keep the pain at a minimum.  In the winter of 2019, I slipped on ice and I fractured my back. The doctors started running tests on me and it turned out I needed surgery to stop a tumor that was going to give me cancer. These procedures took a toll on my body and then they found I had diabetes, high blood pressure, and a stomach ulcer due to the amount of medication I had been taking. I changed hospitals and I went to Cook County Hospital and it was there where they detected cirrhosis after surgery on the appendix. My liver swelled up and it’s now giving up little by little. My body can no longer retain liquid properly and I have encountered another issue as it also travels to my lungs, making it really hard for me to live because I can’t even breathe or walk at times due to the extreme swelling in my legs. For the past 3 months, I have been basically living at Rush hospital because I need this fluid taken out of my lungs routinely or else I can die. I will not be able to return to my home comfortably as the house has too many stairs for me to be able to safely reside there, adding another worry to my life. Yet, I am a strong woman and I have never had to seek help before but now I am asking for any type of help I can get… I’ve always fought through everything and now I feel my life is fading away because I can’t get my liver transplant due to not having the money necessary. Tengo 54 años y desde que llegué a los Estados Unidos me han diagnosticado muchos problemas de salud. Vine aquí a trabajar y hasta muy poco, he estado trabajando en 2 trabajos diferentes y con horas locas para poder mantenerme a mí y a mi familia. No puedo trabajar más tiempo en estas condiciones, haciendo turnos de 10 a 12 horas en diferentes trabajos debido al deterioro de mi salud. Ahora estoy luchando aún más con mi salud... Comenzó con artritis y tenía mucho dolor en los pies debido a esta condición y el médico tenía que recetarme medicamentos para mantener el dolor al mínimo. En el invierno de 2019, me resbalé en el hielo y me fracturé la espalda. Los médicos empezaron a hacerme pruebas y resultó que necesitaba cirugía para detener un tumor que me iba a dar cáncer. Estos procedimientos afectaron mi cuerpo bastante y luego descubrieron que tenía diabetes, presión alta y una úlcera estomacal debido a la cantidad de medicamentos que había estado tomando. Cambié de hospital y fui al Cook County Hospital y fue allí donde me detectaron cirrosis después de una cirugía en el apéndice. Mi hígado se hinchó y ahora se está rindiendo poco a poco. Mi cuerpo ya no puede retener líquidos correctamente y me he encontrado con otro problema, ya que también viaja a mis pulmones, y se me hace muy difícil vivir porque ni siquiera puedo respirar o caminar debido a la extrema hinchazón de mis piernas. Durante los últimos 3 meses, básicamente he estado viviendo en el hospital Rush porque necesito que me saquen este líquido de los pulmones de forma rutinaria o, de lo contrario, puedo morir. No podré regresar a mi hogar cómodamente ya que la casa tiene demasiadas escaleras para que pueda residir allí de manera segura y ha causado otra preocupación en mi vida. Pero sin embargo, soy una mujer fuerte y nunca antes había tenido que buscar ayuda, pero ahora pido cualquier tipo de ayuda que pueda obtener... Siempre he luchado contra todo y ahora siento que mi vida se desvanece porque no puedo conseguir mi trasplante de hígado por no tener el dinero necesario.
