Help Fund a project to eliminate litter in Bend!

This all started when my girlfriends car broke down and we had to wait to get a tow. While we were waiting, we noticed how much trash was along Highway 20. We thought since we had nothing better to do, we should do something about it! We grabbed some bags from the back of her car and started picking up trash along the small stretch of highway where we were. We didn't go but a few hundred feet and already filled up three medium sized trash bags. We were pretty disgusted how easily the litter piled up and we wanted to do something impactful to help counteract this problem in our town, which made us create the Bend Over & Pick Up Project right there on the side of the road.

This project is a monthly meetup to connect together and pick up litter around the Bend, Oregon area. Starting in May, we will have 1-3 meetups a month in select areas as well as meeting to bike around town and pick up trash along the way. To hit the ground running with this new project, we need funds to purchase supplies for the meetups and finances to promote our cause. Absolutely any amount would be greatly appreciated to move this project forward and make it a reality. Below is a list of how the funds add up:

- Ten pick up reaching tools - $95 ($9.50 each)


- One 200 pack of recyclable eco-friendly trash bags ~ $36.99


- Four boxes of 100-pack Latex free vinyl gloves  ~ $27.88 ($13.94 for each 2-pack)


- Advertising (social media promotion, posters, etc.) ~ $100


- Transportation and trash removal ~ $100


-  Providing snacks/drinks for volunteers ~ $75
