My name is Joshua Albertine and I am the father of Elijah Albertine. Elijah is the youngest of two boys. He's always been full of life, energetic, the sweetest boy in the world, but also tough as nails. His older brother James and he are their brother's keeper in every sense of the word. Just recently, Elijah was diagnosed with leukemia and he is up at Duke University Hospital, where he will be receiving the treatment to hopefully beat this and grow up to live a long, healthy life, and perhaps someday have children of his own. No child, regardless of how they grew up or any other extenuating circumstance, should have to suffer through things like this. Elijah is a fighter and we are optimistic that the doctors at Duke will do everything in their power to help Elijah come home healthy.
The unfortunate aspect of this is the financial burden that it is going to take on the family because this will be a long journey and money goes quick. If everyone could pitch in what they are able to, we should have somewhat of a security blanket to ensure the comfort of Elijah as well as the family as we traverse this journey ahead. Please pray for my baby boy and donate what you can. God bless you all and pray for Elijah. It pains me to even have to do this, but if there is ever a time in which this is necessary, I believe this is one of them. Please share this with everyone you know and let’s try to get as much money raised for Elijah as we can.
