Hi, my name is Eliese Stephenson, and I’m reaching out for help after my life flashed before my eyes in a car accident on Saturday February 16th around 4:00pm.I’m 22 years old, and I was recently involved in a devastating crash caused by a reckless driver. While speeding through traffic, they barely missed hitting my car and then braked, causing me to lose control in the rain. My back car window exploded, and I ended up spinning out, slamming, and being dragged up the median by at least 20 feet. The impact caused trauma to my back and neck, and the pain has been unbearable. Every night I sleep, I relive these moments, waking with anxiousness from genuinely thinking I’d no longer be here.

As a nanny and a college student, I work two jobs to support myself, but right now, I’m facing a financial and physical crisis. The accident left me with back and neck problems that will make it hard for me to work due to the work I do with children and infants. The medical care I need to recover is more than what I can afford, and I’m struggling to keep up with daily expenses, let alone cover the cost of treatment and recovery.

I’ve always been someone who works hard and does everything I can to make ends meet, but this accident has left me in a situation I never imagined.
