My name is Eliana Bonilla, I'm 31 years old, I'm from Barquisimeto, a city in Venezuela. I am a surgeon, I study a subspecialty (Coloproctology) in a hospital in Caracas. On December 10, 2017, when I was preparing to go to work, I was a victim of the crime that plagues my country. My husband and I were shot to rob us. He lost his left eye and I received an impact on the thorax that caused me many medical complications from bilateral pulmonary collapse, spinal cord shock, to cerebral vasospasm or stroke that produced paralysis in my right arm, I underwent tracheostomy for prolonged intubanción. I was hospitalized for 26 days in the hospital where I trained as a doctor, 15 days in intensive therapy. When I woke up I found the consequences of this injury, at this time I can not move my legs or my right arm so I am hospitalized in a rehabilitation hospital in Caracas. But I need the financial help to start the treatment with stem cells, this should start between the first 6 months to get the best results in conjunction with the rehabilitation, the cost of the treatment kit is $ 2500, which is not in Venezuela and should get outside. I also need collaboration in national currency to help my general rehabilitation as a wheelchair, walker, general exams like Magnetic Resonance, Tomography, urodynamic study, etc.

This is the possibility that I have to walk again and recover all my motor skills. I want to go back to work, to walk and help the patients of my country who so need it in these difficult times, because being a doctor is my vocation, it's what I was born for.
