Help Elaisha Mireles fight sarcoma cancer

Hello , my name is LeeAnne and I’m currently trying to help my 22 year old fiancé Elaisha Mireles fight sarcoma cancer which is one of the rarest and aggressive cancers to exist.

* Elaishas journey begins back in august of 2022 . Elaishas symptoms slowly started to appear beginning with an aggressive cough and blood started to appear in his mucus .
* September 2022 elaisha’s symptoms started to rapid . He then started getting pains in his right calf and started getting increase chest pains .
* November 2022 I took him to the emergency room but sadly he didn’t get the help he needed
* Months pass and we weren’t able to take him to any doctors , nor specialist due to us not having any medical insurance or having a great income coming in . During this time his conditions worsen and we try using resources such as over the counter medicine and even home remedies but nothing worked.
* February 2023 right after his 22nd birthday elaishas symptoms worsen . One morning on his way to work he had extreme chest pains and was losing his breathe . He came straight home and I rushed him to the emergency room . At this moment we knew something wasn’t right.
* Towards the end of February through the middle of march we were in the hospital and doctors began running test and started doing biopsy’s to try and figure out the situation. After patiently waiting doctors gave us the news and informed us that he had a mass in his lung but they thought it was an infection. They sent us home with antibiotics to try and cure this infection.
* A week later elaisha noticed his calf had extremely changed in size . He then went to his primary doctor to see if he could help. His primary doctor then sent him to get an ultrasound on his calf and the next day we got the news and turns out he had a tumor on his right calf.
* Throughout the rest of march we continued doing the antibiotics at home to cure him from the supposed infection he had in his lungs . He also got a ct scan during this time and we were waiting on the results on the ct scan.
* The end of march came and we had a follow appointment with his pulmonary specialist. His pulmonary specialist then tells us the bad news. The mass in his lung increased in size and turned out to be a tumor. He then sent us to his team in a local hospital.
* April - May 2023 during this time we were once again in the hospital hopeless because we didn’t know what was going on with elaisha. They did multiple test, lab works , and did another biopsy and still no definite results. At first they told us it could be lymphoma but weren’t completely sure.
* On April 27th ,2023 elaisha was diagnosed with epithelioid sarcoma. From then doctors automatically started chemotherapy.
* During the couple months of chemotherapy we saw some progress with elaisha , his calf tumor had shrunk. His breathing had slightly gotten better too and his mucus had less blood in it.
* During the early month of June elaisha started experiencing severe migraines on a daily basis and his oncologist just told him to drink excedrin . After a while his oncologist finally sent him to get a MRI . The same day we received news that the migraines elaisha was experiencing were due to him having 2 small leisure’s in his brain . I was then told to take elaisha to the hospital so one of best neurologist could take a look at elaisha. From there the nurses and doctors took really good care of elaisha and assigned us to a radiologist so elaisha could start radiation as soon as possible.
* July 2023 elaisha started radiation which were a total of 15 radiation treatments and from there elaisha experienced many symptoms such as hair lost , fatigue, depression and anxiety. Most of the symptoms were also caused due to the steroids he was taking .
* August 2023 elaisha finished all radiation treatments and we figured everything was going perfect since his oncologist had informed us that the chemotherapy and radiation he had received had a made a difference such as the mass in his lungs had reduce in size as well as his tumor in his leg. But his oncologist gave us misstated information. The ending of august elaisha woke up one morning crying and explaining to me that his lungs felt heavy and he was having difficulty breathing again but much worse than before . I then rushed him to the hospital and of course , once getting there doctors and nurses started taking labs and ct scans . From those labs and ct scans we were told elaisha had pneumonia and the mass in his lungs had increased in size . They right away had elaisha move into ICU and started right away on giving him antibiotics and pain medication. His oxygen levels were extremely low and doctors had to put on oxygen on elaisha in order to keep his oxygen levels normal. After a couple days of elaisha being in the hospital , his pain had increased and starting having serve back pain . From then elaisha started losing feeling in his legs . Doctors were informed and did an ultrasound on his back and also a ct scan . Doctors later told us that the mass in his lungs had started to push into his spinal cord which was the cause of elaisha losing feeling in his leg. His oncologist was informed and his oncologist studied his ct scans and ultrasounds and then delivered us the bad news.
* His oncologist had informed my in laws and me that there was nothing else he could do for elaisha and that we should be ready to take him home for us to live his last days with him . Once again his oncologist gave us false information. Many of the nurses from the hospital and other specialist that were assigned to elaisha had informed us that MD Anderson here in Houston had specialist that could specifically help elaisha and the type of sarcoma he has . Just to add elaishas father and step mother had been trying for months to get him to MD Anderson but due to insurance and financial issues they weren’t able to bring him to MD Anderson.
* September 2023 elaishas father finally decided to bring elaisha to MD Anderson by force against the doctors orders . At this point as a parent you are willing to do whatever it takes to get the best treatment for your child. As a family we knew there would be risk but elaisha wants to keep fighting this battle and us as his family are 100% supporting him throughout this journey .
* As a family we are trying to receive whatever help we can get . For example medical bills , expenses and hotel stays. We would greatly appreciate any help we could get , to get the best help for elaisha . Thank you and God bless
