</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Am 11.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dieser eine Moment verändert sein Leben:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Nach einer Not-OP steht fest: </strong>
</div>
<div><strong>Eko ist querschnittgelähmt, vom Brustkorb an abwärts. Für immer.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mit 40 Jahren muss Eko plötzlich eine völlig neue Realität annehmen.
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
Die Textzeile, die wir Eko gerade ganz besonders wünschen: „After winter, must come spring."
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div>Danke, wenn du helfen kannst.
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>--------------------
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One jump into the water, and the life of our friend Ersin, whom we all call "Eko," changed forever.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On July 11th, he celebrated his 40th birthday on a boat in Berlin. It was supposed to be a carefree, beautiful day. Joyful and happy, the way you celebrate when you're right in the middle of life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At a spot that was supposedly deep and safe, he jumps off the boat into the water and hits his head on the ground.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In that moment, his life changes forever:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>After emergency surgery, it's confirmed: Eko is paralyzed from the chest down. Forever.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At 40, Eko suddenly has to accept a completely new reality.
</div>
<div>As a self-employed filmmaker and photographer, he had built a life for himself. Together with his partner and their dog Coco, he was just about to start a new chapter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now a long, hard road lies ahead of him:
</div>
<div>Rehab, accessible renovations, aids for a completely new life after the accident. Much of it is expensive, and not all of it is covered by health insurance. His family cannot carry this financial burden alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We, his friends and family, are supporting him with everything we have, but we can't do this alone. Your support, in whatever form, helps Eko. No donation is too small: 100,000 times 1 euro is already 100,000 euros. And if you can't donate, sharing helps too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One of Eko's favorite bands is the Fugees. The line we especially wish for Eko right now: "After winter, must come spring." May these words open up a new path for him now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Take care of each other.
</div>
<div>Sometimes it only takes a single second to change an entire life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read these lines.
</div>
<div>Thank you if you can help.
</div>
<div>And thank you if you share this story.
</div>
