Hi, my name is Nacha, and I’m reaching out for help with my four-month-old kitten, Eikichi.

In August, Eikichi suddenly became very sick. I rushed him to the vet, desperate for answers. Unfortunately, the first vet prescribed antibiotics without doing the blood tests I had requested. Despite my insistence, they refused to run them.

I could see Eikichi getting worse — he was weak, losing weight, and struggling to eat — so I took him to multiple other veterinarians to get a better diagnosis. When bloodwork was finally done, I received heartbreaking news: Eikichi tested positive for five serious infections, including Chlamydia felis, Calicivirus, Mycoplasma, Coronavirus, and C. perfringens.

These infections have caused him chronic diarrhea, breathing issues, and weight loss. He currently weighs only two pounds, even though he should be twice that by now. The internal medicine team confirmed he has severe inflammation throughout his body and is being closely monitored for FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) — a dangerous and often fatal condition linked to feline coronavirus. Thankfully, his bloodwork so far does not show FIP, but it’s something we have to watch carefully.

Eikichi’s treatment includes:
• Antibiotics (Doxycycline) for multiple infections
• Fiber and probiotics (such as Fortiflora or Metamucil) to support his digestion
• Eye antibiotics for secondary infections
• Specialized food and supplements to help him gain weight and build strength
• Regular blood tests and vet visits every 2–4 weeks to monitor his progress

Eikichi’s vet bills have already added up from all the appointments, tests, and medications, and the costs continue as he needs long-term care. His treatment could take several more months before he fully recovers — if his little body can handle it.

Despite everything, Eikichi remains such a loving, playful, and brave kitten. He purrs through his treatments and still tries to play with his toys, even when he’s tired. He deserves a chance to grow up healthy and strong.

I’m asking for help to cover his ongoing medical bills, medications, follow-up bloodwork, probiotics, and supplements. Every dollar makes a huge difference — even the smallest donation helps us move one step closer to Eikichi’s recovery.

If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page to help us reach others who might be able to help. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read Eikichi’s story and for supporting his fight for life.

Thank you for helping me give Eikichi the chance he deserves.
