Help Edna Get Better

On October 25th, 2017 Edna suffered a large stroke, and was left with speech and other difficulties as a result.
After a week of intensive hospital care, improvements towards recovery have been seen, and Edna is determined to get back to her energetic, and social self.
All of the hospital staff from her Drs., nurses, therapists, and aids, all agree, getting Edna help with Stroke Rehabilitation would be a great help to her and aid in a more complete recovery. And the greatest chance for her to recover is to start intensive treatment as soon as possible.
Sadly, her health insurance provider doesn't think so. They have summarily denied her claim for rehabilitation care, leaving the family scrambling to find ways to make this possible for her. We have made many calls, contacted every level we can with the organization, but weren't able to sway anyone's opinion. We also filed a formal appeal to review her case, but feel it is a long shot.
As a family, we are left with one option. Try and pay for the care she needs on her own.
As you can imagine, the bills are large and add up quickly. But we feel she is worth it, and deserves a fighting chance to help relearn those skills and abilities that are so crucial to such a vibrant and social person.
In order to start her treatment, we need to provide the facility with an exceptionally large down payment for her care.
Any funds collected on her behalf on this page will be used solely to provide for her care, and help her regain her indepenance and infectious personality.
