Hi, my name is Edgar Rojas, most know me just simply as Eddie.

I’m raising funds to help cover essential equipment for my wheelchair and medical bills from several surgeries I had last year. Many of the items I need, like a new cushion, wheels, backrest, and a power assist attachment and more, are crucial for my safety, mobility, and independence. Unfortunately, my insurance has denied coverage for most of these, leaving me with few options.

Some of this equipment isn’t just about comfort; no, it’s about preventing injuries. I’ve already hurt both shoulders, hip, head and hands this year from transfers and falls. Getting a power assist attachment will help me avoid future injuries and stay mobile without having to stop living life when things get too painful.

This fundraiser is also about giving me back a sense of freedom. I miss the outdoors, hitting trails, going fishing, and enjoying nature. With the right gear, I can get back to those things I love and feel more like myself again.
