Help Ease Stephanie's Post-Transplant Journey

Hello, my name is Cheryl and I’m starting the GoFundMe page to help out a very dear friend of mine who has to have a double lung transplant.

The money raised on this page will be used for housing and food while she is recovering from her lung transplant. She will be receiving her transplant in Pittsburgh and will be staying at the Kevin Guest House which will cost between $100- $130 a day, plus the cost of food and parking in addition to keeping up on her mortgage at home. She will have to stay in the Pittsburgh area for 3 to 5 months after her surgery.

Stephanie is one of the most kindest giving person I’ve ever met. She would give the shirt off her back to help a stranger. if you could please find it in your heart to help anyway you can and please share on any social media posts to help Stephanie and her husband Gary have one less thing they have to worry about.

Stephanie is at home after spending 5 months in and out of hospitals, 3 of them were solid 3 months admitted at Buffalo General Hospital. She is on Oxygen 24/7 Thankfully, her husband is retired and is able to stay home to be with her. Her children are also close by for support.

UPDATE: Stephanie has jumped through all the hoops and is now officially on the double lung transplant list. The financial burden will come when she has called to have the surgery in Pittsburgh and have to live there for 3 to 5 months. This money will come out of their pocket. With Stephanie being disabled and her husband retired, This will be a huge burden on them financially. The only thing Stephanie should be worrying about is her recovery. They estimate the cost out-of-pocket to be around $17-$20,000 For housing and food and parking.
