Help Ease Sasha's Burn Treatment Costs

Prayers for Sasha and our household. Please pray she heals quickly and that she doesn’t end up with an infection. Pray that we are at peace because this is financially draining us quickly and it’s so stressful with our wedding coming up in October.

Long story short, I picked her up on our way home from vacation on Monday, June 24th. When I arrived to pick her up, I was informed she got hurt on Saturday. The dog sitters have no clue how she got hurt. I got 3 different opinions from vets and they all said it’s burns.

Either contact or chemical burns. They have to clean and stitch the bandage to her back to protect that tissue. Because they are burns, she has to have special bandages that are wet/dry. She has had minor surgery to remove all the dead tissue. The vets recommend changing her bandages every other day to prevent infection but we can’t afford that. It’s around $500 to sedate her, clean her wounds, and change her bandages. If I went every other day, that’s $1,500 per week. I love my dog but I can’t afford that. There is no cheaper way to go about this. I have asked and begged but she is a burn victim so this is a very long healing process. The risk of infection is so high. This will take at least a few months of back and forth to the vet. That’s if there’s no complications. I’m trying my best to make sure she gets the best care. I can’t sit there and watch her suffer. So far this has cost us $1,900. Because this is going to take several months, the costs will continue to grow.

I know God is in control. I know God is the provider. This is just so hard on all of us.
