Help Dyslexic Kids at My School!

GOAL EXCEEDED!!! Thanks so much to all the donators. We've turned donations off as we're now in the process of transferring all donated funds to the school. The total (excluding gofundme's campaign fees) looks to be $3942.98 which will buy a full set of c-pens! If there are any excess funds after the purchase they will be used at the discretion of Harrison School.

Hi my name is Angus Crockett. I'm a year 4 student from Harrison School in Canberra, Australia, and I am nine years old. I have dyslexia, and that is why I’m asking for help. But not just for me, for my whole school!
I’d like some help to buy my school a set of c-pen readers for (more about them soon).
Having dyslexia makes it very hard to read. It's like if every word was written in a secret code, which kids with dyslexia have to try to crack. While other kids are already finishing their worksheets, kids with dyslexia are often still trying to read the instructions telling them what to do.
A new invention called a c-pen reader makes learning much easier. It is a scanning pen which can read words or whole sentences out loud if you don’t recognise them. You can use it on any book or worksheet or even on tests or exams.
I want to try to raise enough money to buy my school a class set of c-pens which is $3800. The set will have enough c-pens to allow lots of classes and teachers to give them to students with dyslexia or other learning difficulties who need to use them at school.
The money donated will be spent by the school on a set of c-pens (we have agreed the school with make this purchase). I've spoken to Mr. Holmes, the school principal, and he knows all about this plan and is very excited to get the c-pens!
[Update from Angus's mum: Any money that is donated will be given to Harrison School by 22nd September 2017. I have spoken with Mr. Holmes, as well as the school Business Manager, and we have agreed to make a single direct deposit of all the donated funds at the end of the campaign into the Harrison School Management Account. This will occur on the last day of Term 3, on the 22nd of September, and I will post an update to confirm as soon as this is done.]
