Help Dwight Morgan With Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Update #3 : Sunday, April 21 - Dwight, his father, and his sister checked into the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge in Lexington, KY where he will spend the next 6 weeks receiving treatments. His stay is covered based on donations to the center itself. He is responsible for the cost of his own meals (as well as his caregivers' as he is required to have someone stay with him), along with other necessities and gas to and from treatment & for the 2+ hour trip back home to Leslie County on weekends as he's able. Any and all prayers and donations are very much appreciated. Thank you all.
Update #2 : On Monday 4/8 Dwight went for an appointment for a CT simulation. He was fitted for his radiation mask and his start date was scheduled. He will start Photon Radiation treatments on Monday, April 22nd at noon. These treatments last about 15-30 minutes each and he will receive them Monday-Friday for 6 weeks. He will also take a chemo pill in combination with these radiation treatments. Please continue to pray for him and his family in the coming weeks! Thank you to everyone for all the prayers & support he has received so far!
Update 4/4/24 : Dwight and his family met with many doctors and received a lot of information about his treatment plan. To make a long story short, he will begin receiving Photon Radiation treatments in about 4 weeks. These treatments will be 5 days per week, for 6 weeks in Lexington, KY.
As of now, he plans to stay at The American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge, where he will receive a free stay for the entire length of his treatments. This is such a blessing!
He will, however, still be responsible for the costs of travel & gas, food & snacks, and other necessities. We are so thankful for all the donations we have received so far! Please know they are very much appreciated!
On Friday, March 22, 2024 Dwight Morgan received life changing news that no one wants to hear. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer. While he has not met with his Oncology team to develop an exact plan, he was told that this type of cancer is treatable but not curable.
He will need to undergo radiation treatments several times per week, for several weeks. With these appointments come many expenses, including travel, meals, and potential lodging. Dwight will be unable to work during this time.
Dwight is a man of devout Faith and he is placing all his trust in Him. We desire your prayers for him and his family in the coming days.
We are asking that if you feel lead and are able to please contribute to lowering his expenses by donating to this fundraiser.
Updates will be posted on this page as we have them.
