Help Dwight fight a Rare Form of Non-Hodgkins

Donation protected
My husband, Dwight, has just been diagnosed with a rare form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma which is in his small bowel. It currently is known as EATL type II, or MEITL. This is a type of cancer that is firstly, very hard to detect,  due to the rarity of it. Secondly, it is highly aggressive and the origins of it are not fully understood by the scientific community. Although they have made some strides in treating this very rare sub type of T-Cell Lymphoma, the cases presented have a poor prognosis.  That being said,  those who have this type of cancer are generally much older, in poor health and the cancer is at an advanced stage. Our doctors have advised that Dwight is young, he is in good health and it is localized - This gives him a fighting chance to beat the odds.

We are fortunate to have health insurance but it does not cover all of the costs. We are lucky to also have paid leave from both of our jobs.
However, there are residual costs that we would need to cover.  And uncertain unforeseen costs that may include us to have to travel out of state for clinical trials.

Dwight would need to stay in the hospital for five days at Stanford for all 6 of his treatments due to the high risk effects of the chemo. Having assistance for housing while he is down there would alleviate our worries a bit.

Additional supplemental costs would include traveling to and from Palo Alto, loss of some of our income while on disability/family leave, medical bills, food, travel for our family that are out of town, fertility treatments, and any additional funds for unforeseen events.

We will be giving updates on here to inform you of Dwight’s progress.

Thank you all for your help!! Dwight and Kristen
