Late Saturday night, February 22nd, 2025, while Doordashing, I saw two little dogs running along Eaker Road in Bessemer City, NC. I was able to catch one, get it a home, and proper medical care. Someone on Facebook recognized the dogs, and it turned out the owner had been neglectful, so someone intentionally dumped them because the shelter wouldn't take them. It was confirmed three dogs were dumped, and two are still missing. Their names are Gizmo & Bandit. They are very skittish and run away. I have set out food in traps and tramped through the woods every day since trying to catch these poor babies. Right now, I need more assistance. I need to buy more food to set out, and I am looking into a nonprofit trapping organization to help. Their services are free, but I will need to reimburse them for gas for the hours they are driving to help out. If anyone could donate, any small amount helps! Thanks so much!

Update: Thanks to everyone who donated & helped! We have caught Gizmo & Bandit, and the 3rd dog is in her forever home now. All proceeds will now go to their vet care. One of the dogs needs a lot of teeth surgically removed, which will cost around $500, not to mention the special soft food diet & medications.
