Help Duke Recover: Support His Journey to Health

My sister in Texas has recently found an Blue Pitty that is in very bad shape and need our help. It is easier if I just let her tell the story.
I found this guy last night in the road off 512 and 2655 in Aberfoyle NE of Greenville, TX. He is very malnourished and he came right to me. I put him in a stall last night with water and food. He drank a lot, but only ate a tiny bit from our hands. Rosanna and I made a straw bed with a blanket for him. He just passed out and slept all night. My wonderful friend and client gave me a brand new coat for him and some food and water and sat with him while I shod the horses.
This morning I took him to Parker Road Vet and Dr Kerin examed him. He is microchippped, neutered and the owner on the chip was contacted. I am not allowed to have any other information, but I found out his name is Duke. He is young. I will be quarantining him for 2 weeks, or until the owner comes forward. After 2 weeks it is considered abandonment. I will get blood work back on Monday. Until then, he is safe, has food and water and love. Please share in case anyone knows his owner. If no one comes forward, I will care for him.
UPDATE: His blood work came back heartworm negative and no disease that would make him lose weight. His values are very low, but with time and groceries he will hopefully make a full recovery. The old owners do not want him and refused to pay vet bills and rehab expenses. He had run away from them numerous times before. The last time he "left" was before Thanksgiving and they had already "mourned" him. I hope they get what they deserve, as I believe they dumped him.
Onward, we still need prayers for his recovery. He is a happy, sweet man that likes to cuddle in his straw bed. He still has to quarantine until Monday. He is eating and drinking well and loves small treats. He is staying warm in his coat under the heat lamp. Thanks to all who have reached out to help.
He will need lots of food (canned and kibble) and there will be lots of Vet Bills on his way to recovery.
