Dear family, friends, and friends of family,

With an extremely heavy heart, I am reaching out for any help to try and save my little guy, my Buttons.

Recently, my dog Dugg.E was diagnosed with a collapsed trachea, an enlarged heart with a murmur, and a couple of other difficulties due to his breed type and age.

At this specific visit, we weren't able to get him EVERYTHING he needed treated, but we were able to get him tests and meds we could afford (still not cheap), to get him through, adding this unexpected bill to our current ones.

Today, he was rushed back to the vet ER as he has not been his goofy, playful self the last few days. He hadn't been eating, and even after medication, he wasn't responding as he should have.

Upon the vets checking, they noticed his lungs sounded off, and after some tests, they found he had fluid in his lungs due to congestive heart failure. Not something we were ready for.

The doctor did give some hope (no guarantees) that with extra meds and treatment, we could possibly have him here longer.

The cost is outrageous, but we can't fathom letting him go knowing we had a chance to give him a little more time. Dugg.E is a part of our family's daily routine, as we are his. So with not too much thinking needed, we made the decision to keep him going and get the treatment, even if it is a bit out of our reach. We can't let him go without trying.

Our little Dugg.E's unexpected medical bills are overwhelming, and we were not prepared for this kind of expense, but I can't just let him go like that. Dugg.E is more than just a pet - he is family, my best Furend, and a source of unconditional love and joy. We've had him since he was 10 months old, and with him being 14 years old, to us, it's still too early for us to give up on him.

I am doing everything I can to give my little guy the care he deserves.
