We have been on a whirlwind roller coaster ride since the Trump administration announced the ending of the DACA program on September 5, 2017.
Despite various temporary court rulings that have allowed DACA to remain in place- Congress has yet to pass a permanent solution for Dreamers.
Dreamers at DSU have been lobbying in Washington DC since October of 2017. We have met with over 200 offices of Congressmen on both sides of the aisle. We have missed classes, shared our stories, organized call-ok days and hosted various fundraising events to help cover travel costs to D.C. Many of us spent time away from our families to lobby in D.C- all of this with limited resources.
We are collecting funds to help us continue our lobbying efforts. Your generous donations will be used to cover travel expenses, meals, metro cards, housing, and other related expenses that come with lobbying.
We have the power to write this chapter in America’s history, and we need your help to make it happen!
