<div>Sean was born in Kingston, Ontario, and raised in Alberta, Canada, where he attended medical school, and continued on to McMaster for his surgical residency which he completed in 2001. He came to Belleville, Ontario after that, and has resided and practiced medicine here for over 20 years. He is husband to Jennifer, and he is a devoted father of 2 amazing kids, Phelan, age 13, and James, aged 12. Sean enjoys spending his time off with his wife and kids at home, and at the cottage as well as hunting and fishing.

<div>In January 2023, after experiencing significant pain in his pelvis and legs, major fatigue and weight loss, Sean was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer to his bones. His initial treatment with hormones and chemotherapy did alleviate some of his symptoms, but unfortunately was

<div>not effective in curing his cancer.

<div>Most recently, Sean was referred to and approved for a new treatment using radioactive injections. This treatment is only available in Quebec and British Columbia and therefore is not covered by provincial insurance. He has been approved for 6 treatments every 6 weeks, each costing $27,000 dollars bringing us to the goal we have set.

<div>Sean has continued to work while receiving treatment, and plans to continue to work while receiving this new treatment, at a reduced amount, as much as he is able.
</div>

<div>Sean has dedicated his life to helping others manage their illnesses, and now it is his turn to receive the help of others to fight this terrible disease.
</div>
