Doug Johnson, my friend, is facing an unimaginable loss. Earlier today, Doug’s personal home was completely destroyed in a fire. Tragically, there was no insurance on the home, and it is understood to be a total loss. To make matters even more difficult, Doug also lost his car in the fire. Doug has lost not only his house, but also the comfort, security, and transportation that are so important to daily life.

 In the wake of this devastating event, Doug is left with the overwhelming task of starting over. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Doug replace essential items lost in the fire—things like clothing, basic household goods, and other necessities. If enough is raised, it may also help Doug begin the long process of rebuilding his home and recovering from the loss of his car, so he can regain some sense of normalcy and independence.
