Please Help my Bro-In-Law and retired Vet Doug fight Cancer

As you all know, I have never done this before. I am not one to ask for help, especially the monetary kind, but my family and I are in a desperate situation to help My dear brother-in-law Doug. On September 29th, Doug was diagnosed with malignant cancer that has rapidly metastasized to multiple organs throughout his body. We are all completely devastated. This was very sudden & unexpected. A Retired US Army Vet who did a tour in Iraq, Doug has always been quick to lend a hand to those in need, and right now he is in a fight for his own life! He has suddenly found himself unable to work, and bills are sure to be insurmountable. His wife, my sister Lisa, has been having health problems of her own, that have affected her ability to work as well. Needless to say, the bills are sure to pile up quickly. Though we are hoping and praying for the best, we are quite concerned about the road ahead, as well as his potential funeral expenses.
