<div>I’m Carman Hobbs, the daughter-in-law of Doris Martin who is currently fighting for her life at East Baptist in Memphis, TN. She went in Monday for a heart cath and found that <strong>she is in end stage advanced heart failure</strong>. Her ejection fraction is currently less than 20%… they put in a picc line Monday to start a trial and error medication to see how she responds to it to buy some time until the team of doctors decide on the heart transplant. On Tuesday they went in and put a central line in her neck. The nurse we talked to tonight says they’re leaning towards the heart transplant, but with her being blood type O, it’s going to be difficult to find a match. Her heart is very sick and only getting weaker. She has had lupus for the last 15+ years. Her body is fighting against her own organs.
