Dooders is a playful, loving 6-year-old dog who means the world to his owners, Matt and Ande. Ever since they brought him home as a puppy, Dooders has filled their lives with joy—chasing squirrels in the backyard, playing with sticks, and greeting everyone with his boundless energy. Recently, Dooders developed a severe swelling in his eye, which was diagnosed as a retrobulbar abscess. The swelling has become so intense that his eye is nearly swollen shut, and he’s become lethargic and is struggling to eat.

Matt and Ande have already taken Dooders to the vet, where he was prescribed medication and had a procedure to drain some of the fluid. However, Dooders still needs surgery to fully remove the abscess and relieve his pain. The cost of the surgery and ongoing care is more than Matt and Ande can manage on their own right now. They’ve always done everything they can for Dooders, but this unexpected medical emergency has put a real strain on their finances.
