<div>This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. My parents are proud, humble people who would never ask for help themselves — but they need it now more than ever. And if you know them, you know they’d be the first to offer help if the tables were turned.

<div><strong>Donna’s Story</strong>

<div>Over the past two years, my mum has battled ongoing spinal issues, multiple surgeries, and constant, excruciating pain. Most recently, she was diagnosed with Drop Neck Syndrome — a condition where her neck collapses forward, making daily life nearly impossible. She can’t work, barely sleeps, and has lost much of her independence.

<div>We’ve now learned that her last surgery wasn’t done correctly, and loose hardware in her spine has caused further damage. After seeking a second opinion, we found out that the only path forward is another major spinal operation — the most complex and risky yet.
</div>

<div>Doctors will remove the failed hardware and insert a titanium rod from C2 to T9 to realign her head and neck. The surgery is high-risk, extremely painful, and requires a long and difficult recovery. But it’s the only chance for Mum to regain her quality of life.

<div>Through all of this, my dad — Donna’s rock — has done everything to hold things together on one income. But the financial pressure is becoming too much, especially with surgery costs, recovery time, and the loss of income during that period.
