Help Dogma Recover From the Sebastopol Flood

We would like to thank everybody for the outpouring of support our rescue has received over the past couple of days. We have begun the process of fundraising to replace equipment we lost in the flooding that overwhelmed our storage area on February 27, 2019. We are just now getting to a point where we can begin to assess the damage and losses.

When the water rose three animals were still onsite, one of which had just had surgery to remove her eye. Two volunteers choose to stay and wait for the water to recede thinking it wouldn't last more than an hour or so, They ran and changed cloths so that they could move our equipment to higher ground, but in those few minutes the basement was completely submerged and no one could access the area. They ended up being surrounded by four feet of water, had no electricity, and no communication.

It will take some time and we might slow down for a bit, but Dogma will continue. In the meantime we will begin replacing the equipment and supplies we have lost so that we can properly care for the animals in our rescue.

To our adopters and supporters, thank you for your continued support. Animal rescue allows us to develop ties with so many people throughout our community. We are fortunate to have built lasting relationships with so many of you. Your donations at this time reinforces the work we do in so many ways. Dogma will be up and running as soon as possible.
