Help Dobby beat FIP

Hi! First I’d like to say thank you for opening this link and taking the time to read. I am looking to raise money to help my little fighter, Dobby.

This is Dobby. He is the most lovable, affectionate, sweet, playful cat. He will be 7 in April on the 1st! Dobby is a little unique as he has a form of dwarfism causing him to have little front legs. However, this doesn’t hold him back from being super playful, giving endless headbutts or making his little biscuits!

Late in January, Dobby seemed to stop eating/drinking and began losing weight. This caused much concern and a visit to the vet was scheduled immediately. At the vet, he spent the day for observation and received X-rays and blood work with fluid being noted in his abdomen. On February 1st, Dobby was diagnosed with feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) which is caused by certain strains of feline coronavirus.

There currently is no medicine that’s FDA approved in the United States that a vet can prescribe, however, there are some very promising meds that use the same main components as the fda approved medications for humans. I was successful in reaching out to different groups to pay and start administering this drug to Dobby, however it’s still very early on with this medicine and hes still having some difficulties.

Dobby started having labored breathing and has been staying at the vet the past few nights receiving oxygen and antibiotics to help with some inflammation. He has had to have fluid removed from his abdomen and has also had to receive fluids from an IV. Unfortunately with the price of the medications, and continuous trips and stays at the vet, the cost is also increasing. I would stop at nothing to give Dobby the best chance at beating this and why I’m asking for some extra help and support.
