These efforts are to help a great friend, Li Dmytro Vyacheslavovych, in an effort to enroll at the National Aerospace University in Kharkiv, Ukraine. These funds would go toward his 3-year full-time education to receive a degree from the Department of Computer Engineering. Dmytro wants to avoid conscription as he is against the war and wants the path of pacifism. Below is a little more information directly from Dmytro. I met Dmytro through the breakdance scene. He attended a few of our events in Raleigh and has been a judge at our Shamrock competition. I stay in touch with Dmytro through WhatsApp and we play online chess when we get the opportunity. It is a horrendous situation and I would love to help get him to school. Dmytro has been part of the group IronB in Kharkiv and they work to deliver supplies to people in need throughout the war torn region. They have fundraised for a van and supplies and risk their lives daily to help others.

"Due to the state of war in Ukraine, all men between the ages of 25 and 60 must join the Ukrainian army and go to the front. In connection with this, there is an organized catch of people on the streets, with or without their will. I'm against war and I don't want to kill other people! In order to avoid being drafted into the armed forces of Ukraine, I went to attend an educational institution, because students are not touched. Education costs $1,500 for 3 years. I don't have these funds at the moment, so I'm asking you guys for help! In Ukraine, it is now impossible to earn this money in an honest way, especially near the city of Kharkiv - where rockets are constantly flying and which is next to the border of the aggressor country! I hope for understanding and not condemnation."
