Help Discover the Historic Music of Newport

Hi, my name is Mark, and I started a research project a few years ago trying to discover music that was written in or about Newport, Rhode Island beginning in the 1800s. I have found hundreds of pieces of music and know there must be hundreds more out there to find. I have started a website:Historic Music of Newport so people can see and hear what I have found so far.
My goals for this fundraiser:
- Create a nonprofit Historic Music of Newport (So that this work and music can go on!)
- Continue the work to find and catalogue music from all over the world.
- Record more music, including the vocal and ensemble music.
- Help cover the cost of keeping the website going and other logistical expenses.
What do I see in the future for Historic Music of Newport?
- Live performances of the music.
- A home.
- Educational activity about Newport and her musical history.
