<div>Dion was born on October 6, 2021 with several critical health conditions that have required immediate medical attention. His health struggles include issues related to his heart, aortic arch, coronary sinus, and a colon condition diagnosed as: atresio anii cum fistulae rectoperinei. Despite these daunting challenges, Dion and his family have shown incredible strength in their quest for his well-being.

<div>Dion's family made the difficult decision to travel to Canada to provide him with the specialized medical care he desperately needs. Their main goal is to ensure Dion receives a series of colon surgeries, a procedure that is not readily available in Kosovo. While Dion has already undergone heart surgeries, the surgery of his colon remains one of the most crucial procedures yet to be performed. As of now, this colon condition has left him unable to stand up or even sit down. At a mere 7.5 kilograms, Dion has struggled to gain weight, and his quality of life is severely impacted.

<div>Dioni ka lindur ne Prishtinë më 6 Tetor 2021. Që në lindje ai është diagnostikuar me crregullime të valvulave të zemrës, harkut të aortës, sinusin koronar dhe një crregullim të zorrës së trashe të quajtur si: atresio anii cum fistulae rectoperinei. Te gjitha këto diagnoza kanë patur nevojë për trajtime të specializuara jashtë Kosovës.

<div><strong>Udhëtimi në Kanada</strong>

<div>Familja e Dion mori vendimin e vështirë për të udhëtuar në Kanada për t'i siguruar atij kujdesin e specializuar mjekësor për të cilin ai ka nevojë. Qëllimi i tyre kryesor është që Dioni t’i nënshtrohet një sërë operacioneve në zorrën e trashë, një procedurë që nuk kryhet në Kosovë. Ndërkohë që Dioni i është nënshtruar tashmë operacioneve në zemër, operacioni i zorrës së trashë mbetet një nga procedurat më të rëndësishme që duhet kryer. Për shkak të ketij problemi me zorrën e trashë, ai nuk shton dot në peshë, është vetëm 7.5 kg dhe nuk mund të qëndrojë dot as në këmbë dhe as ulur.

<div>Rrugëtimi i familjes Berisha nuk ka qenë pa vështirësi financiare. Mbulimi i kostos së operacioneve, trajtimeve mjekësore dhe shpenzimeve spitalore në Spitalin Trillium Health Partners Mississauga, arrijnë shumën prej CAD 80 000, sasi e cila për famijlen Berisha është e pamundur të përballohet. Për këtë ata po i drejtohen dashamirësisë dhe bujarisë suaj për të bërë të mundur trajtimin mjekësor të Dionit.
