Hello Dear Ones -
My faithful companion, my eldest feline child Laretta Kincaid, is in immediate need of emergency surgery. Although she had multiple dental procedures during her 17+ years with me, one of the few teeth she has left developed a nasty tooth abscess that has literally burst through her cheek, creating a space of necrotic flesh and possibility of severe infection . Few doctors would give her surgery at this age, but I have found a wonderful place, Prism Veterinary Dentistry, and Laretta has an immediate emergency surgery scheduled for today, Monday Oct 27th.
We have come so far together since she was a kitten, over 17 years ago. Yet she is spry, feisty, and in perfect health for an old gal despite this dangerous out of control abscess. She still jogs around the house playing or fighting with her siblings. She is not ready to leave us yet, there is still plenty of life left to live.
After the loss of our youngest cat last year, Tyrion, to cancer, I want to give my eldest kid a good fighting chance for a medical issue that should be able to be controlled.
The surgery is going to cost over $5,000, not including medications. We truly need all the help we can get, any amount will help. If enough people donate any amount, it will be a huge weight off our shoulders as we pay this off.
I am usually the one donating or sharing these types of pages for friends, and I wouldn't ask unless we really need it.
Thank you to those who have already helped and all those who know my pets ARE my kids and literally mean the world to me. They helped me survive the loss of my parents, and Laretta was there even before that... Always a paw of wisdom on my hand.
All my love,
Diánna

UPDATE!!! Laretta Kincaid made it through surgery and is at home healing, and her recovery is going GREAT. It was off to a slow start, but she got through the medicines and the effects of anesthesia at home and began to heal.
The spunky senior is not liking her cone, but we're so GRATEFUL to have her slowly getting back to her regular self. She has no teeth now, but she has found a way to head-butt her Mommy with her cone and then give "love nips" on my chin and nose. It's just all gums!
Her brother and sister are very happy she's back (the girls are getting along! WOW)
Her Mom and Dad are thankful beyond words. I just can't express how grateful I am that my baby girl, my eldest, is home.
We still have a long way to go, but your generosity has helped make her recovery a reality and is allowing us to still pay our other bills. I thank you for your loving kindness with all my heart, so I can enjoy many more years with my furry eldest child, Laretta Kincaid.
Much love and Namaste,
Diánna, Gary, Mojo Mouse & Tryna Mollyann
