Hello, my name is Adrionna Grace.

I am raising funds for my best friend, Diesel.

Diesel and his sister Delilah are my closest companions, whom I rescued two years ago at the age of one.

When it comes to exercise, river days, hikes, camping trips, or just hanging about on a lazy day, it always involves my sweethearts. They both are tremendous parts of my life. I have spent so much time healing, training, and spoiling these two. I love them with every ounce of my soul. My fiancé is always asking if the spoils they receive are always necessary. (Yes, yes they are.)

We have our daily routine, a sprint in the evening, alongside my pickup down the livestock roads.

Last weekend, we went for our run, like always. Diesel fell into a culvert full of drainage rocks at full sprint. He endoed several times, bit through his tongue, scratched his face and belly, and worst of all, mangled his leg. His bones aren't broken, but the leg is left unusable with a Brachial Plexus injury.

He has been adapting to 3-legged life this past week with no sense of feeling in the leg still. My veterinarian told me about the possibility of permanent nerve damage.

He needs diagnostic MRI and possibly surgery to fix tendons, nerves, and soft tissues to keep the leg. Also a therapy regimen including hydrotherapy and electromagnetic therapy. Otherwise, amputation will be the only option if he doesn't regain function.

Amputation is not desired as his passion is to participate in our outdoor lifestyle: running, swimming, climbing, playing.

My stomach turns at the thought of him sitting out activities he has always loved to do. The hysteria in my heart throughout the day doesn't end.

I am so grateful he is still here and I get to kiss his sweet face and hear his tail thump on the floor, but seeing him frustrated and confused about his body and temporary routine hurts me so deeply.

We need help, but no matter what happens, I will do everything in my power to keep him comfortable and fulfilled, even if that requires lifelong payments.
