My sister Diane Bircher Keck was diagnosed with a malignant brain cancer in August. Diane is now fighting for her life while keeping her signature strength and positive outlook that we all know and love.
Diane is the best sister, friend, mother, daughter, partner, and employee anyone could wish for. She is the eternal optimist who brings joy and fun to those around her. Diane is a kind and giving person who fiercely loves her family and every animal that she meets. Her loved ones depend on her including her mother and sons. If you know Diane, you know that she is the sweetest, kindest, most grateful person that gives so much to those around her and never expects anything in return.
Now Diane needs your help! She had surgery in August to remove as much of the tumor as possible and is now receiving radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks and chemotherapy 7 days a week for 6 weeks. After the initial 6 weeks she will continue to receive chemotherapy for a week each month for at least 6 more months.
Diane’s life is in a stand still while these treatments take place. At this time, her doctors have declared her unable to work and we are unsure when she will be authorized to return .
One of the consequences of not working is that Diane now has to pay for her medical insurance on top of everything else. She is applying for disability, but it will not be enough to cover her medical bills and medical insurance, on top of her mortgage and regular living expenses.
I would be so grateful for any help that you can give Diane in her time of need. She is the most loving person and any help will relieve some of her financial worry so she can concentrate on her health.
