Dear Friends,
As many of you know, I love nature and want to save the planet. For the past few years, I've served as President of the Board of Earth Law Center, a rights of nature organization. But I feel called to do more.
Recently, I saw "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power," and heard Al Gore speak. He inspired me to do more. So I applied, and was accepted, to attend his Climate Leadership Training Workshop. I am so excited. I will be learning how to speak about and help fight our climate crisis from one of the most influencial leaders of our time. And if you've seen Al Gore's documentary, you'll understand what I mean. If you haven't—don't hesitate. Go see it!
As one of the trainees, I don't have to pay to attend the workshop, but neither do they pay for any of my travel expenses. I will be traveling to Pittsburg in mid-October and will be there for my birthday. So any contributions would help pay for my flight, hotel, meals, etc, and maybe a slice of birthday cake.
I'm looking forward to stepping up my commitment to help change the tipping point of the climate crisis and build a movement to protect nature's rights. I want to learn to speak "truth to power" from the one of the most important climate leaders of our time, Al Gore. I want to learn how we can get this done. And I want to invite you all to come along on this journey with me.
