For those who don't us, I'm Dez, a single momma of 2 in Pa. My dad Mark is literally my best friend! We all keep each other going, but

facing homelessness, unpaid bills, car repairs, utilities, oil for heat, (the water heater gave out 2 days ago for hot water) needing life sustaining meds & dail ly living necessities is taking its toll! Its truly getting harder & harder to bear!

When I heard the kids saying how "Momma doesn't smile anymore, or be goofy" & they miss that... Its time to swallow that pride pill! Here's how it all came crashing down..

Nanny got diagnosed w/ dementia. Refusing to let her be put in a home,I stayed home to be her full time caregiver.Shortly after I was diagnosed w/ MS among other things & was in & out the hospital.Im not able to stay consistent with the MS infusions so it won't help...only % covered. This helps w symptoms, lessen relapses,& most importantly slows down progression. When my mom passed an inactive "family"member just shows up taking over Nanny's finances. They were to pay her bills w/ HER $.. but didn't!! Running EACH well over a thousand, so no one will work w me for utilities! They used her grief, knowing she was scared &intimidated by them ,& her dementia to switch things over TWO DAYS after my mom's death!! Nanny left $ for us which was set aside YEARS ago. This was for us to move since we couldn't keep the house after they did a reverse mortgage she wasn't even present for. Also that family member wouldn't fill out paper work so i could be paid by the state & have income. That "family" member who wasn't around until then... took it ALL plus what he stacked in her acct by not paying bills!...all of it! It wouldve got us a place & pay so we could get back on our feet. _Look,I'm just going to be real & say it. Im truly scared..someone was outside/ taking pictures of the house today & I talked to them. We'll be put out VERY SOON stripping us of our peace, childhoods, safety, stability & dignity.Losing EVERYTHING...

Dad is very sick & is declining fast. One med after another to find the best fit.One alone is $300-$500! If it doesn't work? $ down the drain & on to the next! He's exhausted all his savings & other resources etc to be able to get his meds. He literally has to pick which.. Life sustaining meds to get bc he cant afford them all. I'm learning it's ok to not be ok & accept help. But that is out of my norm. Putting aside my pride is necessary to better myself, the kids, & Dad. Resources are full, funding is gone !(Even prior to the shutdown)We talked to lawyers, Agency on Aging & more! So please don't think we didn't try relentlessly..As parents we make it work right? For the 1st time ever I CANT! & that hits REALLY HARD. I am very grateful I was able to give Nanny her final wishes to pass at home w me & the kids by her side. I've never helped people for recognition or to get in return.Im hoping & praying through prayer & good karma this well get better. Love & Light Dez, Mark, Brae & Shay. PS. prayers are welcomed & appreciated!
