Help Me Get a Canon R5 – A 14-Year-Old Filmmaker’s Dream

Hi, my name is Dexter. I'm 14 years old and I'm raising money to buy my dream camera — the Canon R5. I'm currently about $900 away from reaching my goal, and every bit of support helps me get closer.

I’ve been passionate about filmmaking for years, and despite my age, I’ve already made some serious progress. I recently won the State Championship for SkillsUSA Film & Media Production, competing against students much older than me. I guess you could say I take this stuff pretty seriously — even if I still have to ask my parents for rides to film locations.

Right now, I’m working with basic gear, and while it’s gotten me pretty far, the Canon R5 would completely change the game for me. Better quality, more creative control, and less of me yelling at my current camera for freezing at the worst moments.

I’ve already saved up $1,600 on my own through projects and editing work, but I need a final push to hit that $2,500 mark. If you’re able to help in any way — whether it’s donating or just sharing this — I’d be incredibly grateful.
