Help Devisthan landslide victims

A landslide on August 5th took out a remote Nepalese village in the west, suddenly killing 6 and displacing 150 families numbering around 300 people. Right now these poor people are sheltering in a forest in rough monsoon rains. They are desperate and they are scared as these are basically earthquake disaster conditions. They lack shelter, food, basic medicine and clothing/blankets. As many as 30 families will have to rebuild their homes from scratch as they lost everything and they will need tin, and other supplies. The monsoon usually ends in September it is difficult to predict how much more rain will come and damage even more houses/kill even more people. This year the monsoon has has more devastating effects than what the locals have seen in many years.

Karma Flights, a Nepal based NGO partnering with Cloud Base Foundation in the US, will go to the disaster struck area on the 18th of August to hand out tarps, blankets, rice, tin, clothes, school supplies, backpacks and basic medicine. If budget allows they want to bring a qualified nurse and midwife in order to check the village population. Karma Flights has previous experience in relief work as they organized and lead the Gorkha Earthquake Epicenter Rescue Relief with Isabella Messenger in April 2015. We can guarantee that every contribution you make will go directly to those affected by the landslide. You can follow the updates on the facebook of Karma Flights or follow our Nepal National Director Prem Bahadur Kunwar and see what your money can do.

If you can donate (thank you) this is what your money will buy:
* $5 - Food for family of 4 for two days
* $10 - 1 x 20 kilo sack of rice to feed a whole family for a month
* $20 - A tarpaulin to cover an entire whole house
* $50 - 7 warm thick blankets
* $100 - 10 pieces of Corrugated galvanized iron (cgi) tin plates that can make a small house roof for a family.

If you have any questions, please contact Prem Bahadur Kunwar, the Nepal National Director of Karma Flights. He is happy to answer any of your question on facebook or through email: [email redacted] / facebook: Prem Bahadur Kunwar.

Thank you for helping, the people are thankful for every bit of help!
