<div>Hi — my name is Kelly. My daughter, Hannah, is Destiny’s best friend and have become like a second parent to her. Diana is Destiny’s mom and my best friend. We’re starting this fundraiser because Destiny urgently needs long-term residential treatment, and the family cannot access it without financial help.

<div>Destiny’s Story — What’s Happened

<div>Destiny is a 13-year-old who used to be a straight-A, honor-roll student with a huge heart — she wanted to help people experiencing homelessness and was always kind to everyone she met. About a year ago everything began to change. The pain and trauma from her past rose up and she began a frightening downward spiral. Since then, she’s been in and out of programs: partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), multiple short-term residential stays, 26 inpatient stays, and roughly 10 ER visits — plus intense trauma therapy.

<div>This past week, Destiny attempted to take her life for the 4th time.  She was found by Diana in her locked bedroom.  She was foaming at the mouth &amp; cut her arms 43 times. That moment made it painfully clear: outpatient care alone is no longer enough. Destiny needs a safe, consistent, 24/7 treatment environment where skilled clinicians can stabilize her, treat the complex trauma, and give her the tools to heal.

<div>Why Residential Treatment Is Necessary Now
</div>

<div>We have tried outpatient programs and short stays many times, but nothing has provided the stability and continuous care she needs. Right Now Destiny is not safe at home without intensive supervision and specialized programming. Clinicians who’ve worked with her recommend a longer, structured residential program so she can finally get the comprehensive therapy, medication management, and trauma-focused care she needs to survive and someday thrive again.

<div>Exactly What the Money Will Cover

<div>We want to be completely transparent about how funds will be used. All donations will be prioritized for Destiny’s clinical care and immediate family needs related to treatment:

<div>Residential treatment program intake and monthly fees (to secure a long-term placement)
</div>

</div>
<div>Medication costs — currently more than $6,000 per month for necessary prescriptions and monitoring
</div>

<div>Travel and visitation costs — gas and transportation for Diana to get back and forth to visits and appointments
</div>

</div>
<div>Short-term family support — help with basic living expenses while Diana works to keep her job or transitions to leave so she can remain present for Destiny’s care

<div>Any necessary assessments, paperwork, or co-pays required by the treatment program
</div>

<div>If funds allow, we will also cover follow-up outpatient services and school reintegration support when Destiny is ready.

<div>How This Will Help Destiny

<div>Long-term residential care will give Destiny 24/7 supervision, daily therapy (individual and group), trauma-informed care, consistent medication oversight, and life-skills support. The goal is to stabilize her medically and emotionally, teach her tools to manage intense feelings, and create a safe plan so she can eventually return to home and school with real hope for the future. This is not a quick fix — but with the right care, Destiny has a chance to heal.

<div>Destiny is like a daughter to me. I’ve watched her laugh, help others, and dream big — and it breaks my heart to see her in this much pain. Diana is an incredible mom doing everything she can; she just started a new job and is terrified of losing it while trying to keep Destiny safe. No 13-year-old should feel like dying is the only answer. We can’t take this pain away for her by ourselves — but with your help, we can give Destiny the professional care she needs to survive and one day reclaim her life.
