Help Des get surgery

I am not one to usually ask for financial assistance as I’ve been raised to earn things on my own. I am only 24 years old and I was just told by my periodontist that I'm am losing a significant amount of bone in my teeth. I was told Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP) was the only possible way to reconstruct the bone I have lost. I do have dental insurance through Metlife, but the cost of the procedure is far more than what my insurance will cover. 

I currently work a full-time job, a part-time job and go to school full-time at San Jose State where I'm majoring in Psychology and minoring in Forensic Science. I need one more year of school and have looked at my options to be able to afford this surgery which would consist of debt (added to school loans) or putting school aside for a year to work more hours to be able to afford this surgery. Due to financial and mental health reasons, I have already had to take breaks from school but I am determined to finish my last year strong. 

Unfortunately, even with insurance covering $2,000 of the costs, I would need assistance in paying the remaining amount. I don't have the option to turn to family, as a lot of my family needs financial assistance themselves and it would be a burden to ask for their assistance. 

If I don't get the surgery, I will loose my teeth. Maybe not all of them at once but slowly, as the bone continues to deteriorate. 

My date for surgery is set for June 25, 2021 and I am hoping to raise as much as I can in the next month to afford this surgery. I will be very grateful for any and all donations.

Update: There has been great support from friends that have donated outside of gofundme, so I have lowered my goal on here. But rescheduled the date for July 23rd to have time to save more.
