Help Derrick with bills after his accident

My name is Jarod and I'm starting this fundraiser for Derrick Ingram. Derrick was cut off on the freeway while on his motorcycle and went down. The bike is totaled and he has a mid-shaft femoral fracture in his left leg. They brought him into surgery almost immediately to place an intramedullary nail. He's going to need Physical Therapy and will be on the mend for awhile. There is a possibility of him being in a rehabilitation facility as he lives on the 3rd floor of a building with no elevator.

 

He's in good spirits and has a lot of support, but he's a contractor and as such has no sick or vacation time that he can leverage. Bills and rent are going to start piling up. Fortunately he does have medical insurance as well as the VA as he's a Marine and served in Iraq, but it likely won't cover the full cost.
