Help Dennis Conkin

I am lrgally blind in my right eye and am losing the vision in my left eye from a rare and genetic eye disease called adult vitiliformm dystrophy.   I am a working artist -an abstract expressionist working in acrylics and pastels. Going blind is devastating to me —the progressive loss of vision means I will not be able to see to paint. I wont even be able to read. I lose a little more sight  everydhay.

Complicating  matters, ,  at 65, I am already  severely  hard of hearing, wear bilateral hearing aids  and am wheelchair bound from non p spinal stenosis.

A future where I am blind, deaf and in a wheelchair frightens me tonthe core of my being. I am trying to stay positive but its a heavy load, frankly. Sometimes I am frightened and overwhemed. But I am trying to take each days as it happens.

I am raising money for to pay  for a pair of presription glasses and to purchase cavas, acrylic paints and other critical suplies and for living expenses that I ca stretch my $900  monthly Social Security.
  
The glasses will help me see better to navigate and to paint and the art  supllies will help create a historical record in weekly paintings from inside this truly challenging  situation.

I have raised  about $1500 and I am going to shoot for they sky and try to raise $2,00. I appreciate very much the gifts from  my friendsand colleagues.
