My friend Denise, a former teacher and colleague, recently experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Denise just retired two years ago and was beginning to enjoy her retirement, only to come home from a vacation to this devastating news. While she was away, her house in Twinsburg, Ohio exploded, leaving her with nothing. She returned home to the reality of having lost everything she owned, except for what she had with her on vacation. The explosion also destroyed her car, which was inside the house at the time. The shock and heartbreak are overwhelming, and she is struggling to find a way forward.

 As someone who has dedicated her life to teaching and helping others, Denise now finds herself in need of support from her community. With no belongings left, she is in urgent need of essentials like clothing, food, and a safe place to stay. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward replacing what was lost, securing temporary housing, addressing the loss of her car, and helping her rebuild her life one step at a time.
