Help me (Dena) adopt an elder on the Navajo (Diné) Reservation through Adopt-A-Native Elder, a highly rated 4-star charity on Charity Navigator. This program provides direct support to Navajo elders who face food insecurity and harsh living conditions. Many of them live in isolated communities where resources are scarce. The elders often range in age from 80 to over 100 years old.

With your help, I will provide my elder with food boxes twice a year, along with essential supplies such as clothing, firewood, and blankets. I will also send personal letters to offer connection and care. If you want to send along little notes (for birthdays, holidays, etc.), I would be happy to send those as well.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps me get a Navajo elder what they need to eat, stay warm, and feel connected to others. I really want to participate in this program. It is my hope that with your help and working side jobs, I will be able to raise $900 for my elder. This will allow me to provide food, clothing, and stove wood for the winter.
