Dr. Jess Calarco (visit her site here ) recently published "A Field Guide to Grad School" -- an invaluable resource for students and early career researchers to help them navigate graduate school. From the publisher's site :

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise funds to get this book in the hands of underrepresented racial minority (URM), first-generation college (FGC), and low-income (LI) students interested in applying to graduate school or already pursuing graduate studies.
Once funded, I (Margaret) will share a survey via Twitter inviting students to sign up to receive a copy of this book. At each step, I will share the balance of funds received and paid out via book purchases.
I welcome feedback for how to do this in the most equitable way.
Some logistics:
Depending on how students would like to receive the book (electronic vs hard copy), the cost per book will range from $10-$20. I will update everyone at each step re: books sent and cost-to-date.
