Help Deirdre Fight Cancer

Dear Friends,

This is certainly not the message I had hoped or expected to be sending almost 2 years since Deirdre successfully  completed her initial treatment for colorectal cancer, but unfortunately we recently learned that the cancer is back, this time in her lung. Her team at Stony Brook has recommended 6 months of intensive chemotherapy which is scheduled to begin today, Oct 15th, and to continue every other week until early Spring.

While the doctors say that the chances this treatment will be effective are very good, Deirdre will be unable to work steadily during this time and will need financial help to make ends meet.

I recognize that this is a big ask given the incredible outpouring of support in the past, but I also know that Deirdre is a cherished friend and that if the tables were turned, she would do anything she could to help a friend. So once again if you can find it in your hearts and wallets to help, please donate.
