Help Dee get her 501c3 set up!

In 2009 I was contracted by a private organization to lead their Miami based puppies behind bars program where inmates serving long-term and/or life sentences raise and train service dogs who go on to serve a disabled person. In 2009 I had no idea that by working in that type of environment I would learn to love the population of people I had the opportunity to help. These types of programs have become very near and dear to my heart. Two years ago, I was able to start the first of my own programs with shelter dogs and inmates. I currently work with juvenille offenders who I coach to train shelter dogs so that those dogs can go on to be adopted. That is truly the type of program that I not only find the most fulfiling, but the type of program that is so needed here in Miami due to our over crowded animal shelter. I currently have two new facilites wanting to start shelter based dog programs. Two! Yet, in order to move foward in building the type of program I'd like to build I need the funding to set up a 501c3 Non Profit Organization the right way. If you know me, you know I have a proven track record of success in business. I have no doubt that my to-be non profit dog rescue and training organization will be equally as successful as Applause Your Paws has been. My goal is to eventually have as many correction (prison) based programs up and running in our area -- to serve veterans with PTSD, to continue to train dogs for adoptability and even have a program that can produce diabetic alert, hearing and mobility dogs. What I currently do and what I want to accomplish goes way beyond rescuing dogs. Its about changing peoples lives. Giving them a second chance to do something positive and productive in this world. To feel good about themselves. To remind them that there is still kindness in this world and that they can be a part of the bigger picture of people helpign through. Through dog training, we do that. 

I already have indiviuals wanting to donate funds on an ongoing basis into whatever non profit I set up. This GoFundMe page is specifically to raise funds for the 501c3 set up costs which include attorneys fees and any/all goverment corporation fees that will be required. 

As soon as I hit my goal it's go time!
