Help Debra Fight Leukemia

Our family has been hit with tragic news last month. My mother, Debra, has been diagnosed with AML Cancer. Acute Myeloid Leukemia which a fast growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. The Dr. gave my mom 2 weeks to live if we went home and did not start Chemotherapy immediately. That was not an option for my Mother, she is a fighter and determined to beat this. As most of you know Mom has been dealing with Kidney Failure for the past 4 years so this is going to be difficult to treat Cancer.

Mom has since been rushed to the hospital and on day 18 of her Chemotherapy. After a month of being in the hospital we got some good news. The Arsenic is working and my moms blood  and platelets have gone up, almost enough for her to come home and continue Out Patient treatment.  

The Doctors are pretty confident with this treatment plan my Mom will go into Remission and be able to continue life as she knew it before. But all of this comes with a price tag, one that the average family could not afford.  Just one of the Chemo medications my mom will need is going to cost $2000 a month to get from the Pharmacy. I never imaged we would be in this position but this is what the Lord has brought us to, and we know he will bring us through.  My Mom is strong and courageous and can beat this Leukemia with the help from our friends and family.
