<div>Hi there, Cory (son) here, jumping right into it. On 9/19/25, my mother Debbie (59) was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, COPD, pneumonia, influenza B, and chronic respiratory failure. Due to the cancer and her current condition, with a secondary doctor's opinion, she would not make it through chemotherapy, and her prognosis per the doctor gives her up to 6 months of life.

<div>I have applied for all the government assistance I can find. Disability/SSA expedited application is still 3 months of a wait list, which my mother may not have. Food stamps is still a pending application. Medicare/Medicaid is still pending as well.

<div>My mother has worked almost every day of her life since 1984 (SSA agent said there hasn't been a single wage gap since 1984), and has never received a single benefit from the government and might not even get the chance to have the money she put in. With her permission, <strong>I have set up a GoFundMe in order to help her with some of her current bills and of course to help maybe give her a last few months to actually take a vacation she has earned for working her whole life.</strong> Her truck is being repossessed and due to taking care of animals more than herself, her credit has been maxed and she couldn't even get a loan.

<div>For some of you, you know my mother. The hardheaded, stubborn lady who wouldn't ask for a single penny unless she was going to give it back. She would give you the shirt off her back no matter who you were, food in your stomach, drink in your mouth, etc. She has helped hundreds of employees that have worked for her by giving them money for their rent or even throwing them her own money to help with expenses they couldn't cover.

<div>In my eyes, my mother has been a woman too good for this world and an honest, humble, hardworking person who just didn't get rewarded for her good behavior.
